Maintenance finished putting in my bathroom floor and sink/cabinet in yesterday! Since I had an inspection today, mom and I went over and finished the cleaning we had to do, and figured I may as well spend the night (I wanted to be there for the inspection anyway). We're in the middle of a snowstorm right now. It started last night and has barely stopped since then. I was so surprised to see how deep the snow was this morning haha. Not only is Joe Simpson a great mountaineer, he's a REALLY good writer. I'm reading his new novel The Sound of Gravity and it is AWESOME. He describes things SO well. Today I had my annual apartment inspection (they check to see if the fire alarms still work and stuff). Awhile ago in the bookstore I found this book totally by chance..it's called Touching the Void by Joe Simpson. Joe and his partner Simon were climbing a mountain and Joe fell and shattered his knee. I've noticed it's easier to deal with the winter darkness in my apartment..I'm facing away from the window and I watch TV at night so I'm distracted. The streetlights probably help too. Hopefully I won't have winter depression this year
